English Championships 2009

Well done to all students who competed in The English Championships.
Once again we came away with a batch of trophies, 4 in sparring and our first success in patterns.
Dale and Jamie both won bronze in their Blue belt sparring divisions.
Edward won bronze Blue belt heavyweight to continue his record of placing in every competition entered.
Tony Jordon was only a point away from beating his much more experience opponent in the mens heavyweight excecutive division going out on sudden death but still acheived a creditable bronze. Alex picked up the clubs first trophy in patterns with bronze in Blue belt mens division.
Ralph once again played off for 3rd/4th place in patterns and just missed out on bronze.
A special well done to Amy and Skye, two very brave young girls who did the club proud in their first ever competition.
