Interclub 2010

Article text
Once again our students came up with the goods with great performances at this years Interclub Tournament, bringing home 11 trophy's.
Amy picked up 2 Golds with a winning performance in the girls lightweight red/blue division and the team sparring, beating a team of black belts in the final. A very brave performance considering she fractured her wrist during the sparring.
Skye also picked up a Gold in the team and Bronze in girls blue/red middleweight sparring.
Sister Amber who is sadly leaving Taekwondo finished on a high with a Gold in girls yellow/green patterns, also picking up bronze in the same event Caitlin Spears. All my moaning finally paying off.
Not to be outdone the men carried on the good work with Paul winning bronze in mens heavyweght yellow/green sparring and Steve picking up Silver in mens yellow/green patterns. This was the first time competing for both.
We also had success in the mens teams event with "tazmanian devil" Cormac,"cool hands" Steve and "Karate kid" Lee showing what team effort is all about picking up Silver in mens team yellow/green sparring. Male bonding brought to a new level.
I would like to say a big thank you to the parents who support their kids through thick and thin and i'm sure suffer almost as much as me with stress on days like this. :-}
