We took 5 students to the 9th world Championships in Telford on 11/12th September
All students were a credit to the club performing well in both sparring and patterns. 1,600 students from 26 countries made this the largest World championship so far with 28 rings running continuously over the 2 days
Oliver Bland won through 2 rounds before being beaten just outside the medals, Skye also placed just outside the medals with fourth place in sparring, Steve Dicks and Skye were both joint 3rd in patterns before losing out once again after a play off.
Jason from Harlow was in the very difficult red belt heavyweight decision but gained great experience by competing in his first competition
Jo Anderson was our only medal success picking up bronze in womens light heavyweight blue belt sparring. Each student received a certificate of attendance from the TAGB
