Syllabus

Your first grading may seem a little worrying so hopefully what follows will be of some help to prepare you for what goes on.
Grading times will be given out shortly and you should aim to get to the grading venue with time to spare to change, warm up and get yourself mentaly prepared. You must bring you licence with you and drop it into the box marked Bishops Stortford Tae kwon do. Fill in the back of your licence with the grading venue and date.
There will be a seperate hall for you to practice before being called.
The grading hall floor will be marked with numbers 1-12. There is a picture in the Xtra pics gallery of the layout of the hall.
White belts will be the first to grade on the day and a senior black belt will call out a list of up to 12 students and lead you into the grading hall. Another 12 students will be called to sit at the back of the hall waiting to grade. One of the grading examiners will call out the names of each student of which you answer loudly "yes sir" and you will be led to your mark {number}
You will be asked to call out your name and grade when instructed. As a white belt you are 10th kup. Be loud and confident.
The grading sylibis is on the web site under floor work. You will not be asked to do anything not covered in classes.
When you have finished you floor work you will be led to the back of the hall for your terminology questions after which you are free to leave. Always answer any questions finishing with Sir. Be polite and modest. Likely questions are on the Theory link on this website. You will get a minimum of 3 questions.
If you are at the back of the hall waiting to grade be quiet and take the opportunity to watch the grading going on.
Successful students will receive their results new belt and certificate the next lesson.
